Our Family Soap

Located in Greene County, Ohio, Our Family Soap handcrafts all our soap in small batches using only all natural ingredients. High in olive oil and naturally occurring glycerin our soap is mild, naturally moisturizing and good for your skin. It will not leave an unpleasant film on your skin, leaving you clean, naturally soft.

Our Family Soap is a family owned and operated company. We make the soap. We sell the soap. We use the soap.

The idea for Our Family Soap was created when I was looking for a better soap for OUR FAMILY. Not happy with the products I was finding I decided that I would create my own. The result is an excellent, mild all around soap that the whole family can use.

Bob and I are very proud grandparents of 8 wonderful children. They range from 14 yrs to 6 months old. I am a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist by profession and Bob is a Journeyman plant electrician. In our spare time we like to spend as much time with the grand-kids and participating in local events. One of our pastimes is going to a local rodeo outside of Waynesville and watch the bull riding. Watching NASCAR is another favorite.

See you at The Webster Street Market!

The Market is Coming!!

Hello and Welcome to The Webster St. Market!

First, we want to thank all the folks who have been so receptive and supportive of our initiative! For several years now, we have believed that Dayton has the resources and people to become an exciting, regional destination.

This  is why we are willing to try a pilot program with this market. The idea is not a new one. Markets have existed globally for years. The Egyptians are known to have some of the earliest markets along the Nile. Some markets have 3-4 vendors with one of the largest markets in Japan with over 1,700 vendors.  Wow!

Well, we want to encourage more local folks to proudly exhibit and sell their wares.  We are looking for the artisans, the crafters, the collectors, and the farmers of the Miami Valley to set up a spot and try your hand at The Webster St. Market.

When we started to spread the news of our market, we immediately began receiving excited responses from our friends and acquaintances.  Their heads starting spinning about all the possible handmade items they could share and sell at a market. Even our daughter began thinking of some items she could create and sell. What a great way for a youngster to practice entrepreneurial skills!

We’ve been asked if we intend to have a produce or farmer’s market; our response is “Yes! If the farmers are willing, then we welcome them.”  I emphatically believe that as consumers we have the right to know what is in our food and where does it come from.  I want to shake hands with the farmer who grew the fresh arugula that I just purchased. I would love to see as many producers/farmers represented at any market. Not only are farmer’s markets just plain delicious, their impact on health is worth celebrating.  If you are interested, then please let us know.

We are shooting to open the market during the first part of May. We are happy to announce that we have secured four commercial parking lots from nearby businesses that will allow patrons to park for free during open hours of The Webster St. Market.  Look for the “Free Market Parking” signs on opening day.

Keep checking back to this site, we will be introducing some of our first vendors.
